The body of the BMW Z1 features removable panels, undertray, zinc welded seams and dropped doors. The door goes down instead of opening upwards or outwards.

The BMW Z1 features six cylinder-incline engines with a capacity of 2494 cc. The bore measures 84 mm and the stroke measures 75 mm. The engine delivers an output power of 168 bhp at 5800 rpm and 161 lb-ft torque at 4300 rpm. The BMW Z1 reaches the speed of 60 mph in 9.0 seconds and the top speed is about 137 mph.
